What I Did in 2015!

Here's a list of the things I accomplished in 2015! This list isn't in any kind of order, I have cherished all these moments and accomplishments equally!
For some of you these may be minor things but for me these are what made my year special and in all I can look back on this year with a smile.

Ps. All these photos were taken from my instagram, where I upload snaps of what has made me happy daily! So head there for your daily dose of inspiration.

I went for beautiful walks with nature.

At the start of 2015, I made it my ambition to get out more, see the world even if it's just on my doorstep. So that is what I did. Walking is just so great on both your body and your mind, it truly is my medicine and one of my favourite pass-times. I love walking in parks, there's something really relaxing about being surrounded by nature.

My Winter Wishlist

Winter Wishlist
Here are all the things I am currently lusting over.
I really want a Stila liquid lipstick, I love the shades bellisima and patina.
Also, I've been seeing waist trainer everywhere lately and I kinda want to jump on the trend!
Pencil skirts are so old school, but I really want to start wearing cute two piece crop tops and skirts!

Anyways, that's all from me! What are you wishing for?

I Was A Victim of Domestic Violence.

Hey Guys,

I'm sure you've all noticed that both my YouTube and my blog posts have been either sporadic or non-existent.

I would like to take the time to tell you why.

The last time I made a vlog, I was in my beautiful new bedroom but since then a lot has changed. I wanted to make this a blog post and not a video as some of the things I am about to say are still quite a sensitive subject, so I didn't feel comfortable filming.

I was in a case of domestic abuse and violence- which I won't really go into as I don't feel it is necessary to this post- so I made myself 'homeless' to get out of the horrible situation I was in at home.

What Your Girlfriend Wants For Christmas

... Or what I really want for Christmas? I have compiled a list for you clueless boyfriends out there, the kind of presents that we females love to receive! I have also conveniently ranked them on order of price, starting from low budget and ending on your more expensive presents. Depending on the stage in your relationship you may want to spend less or splash out. Either way, I love them all and think any girl would be thrilled to receive these.

More Chocolate Than Augustus Gloop Could Eat

Mmmmmmm. I'm a sucker for chocolate. Don't get a bar of chocolate, a tin of Quality Street or a box of Celebration or you will look really tight! Go for something a little more classy, a box of Thornton's or Marc De Champagne truffles are much more romantic, don't cost much more and are far better quality. It just looks like you put in much more effort than if you give her a giant box of Smarties you probably got from your local Tesco Metro.

Things I've Been Loving This Fall / Autumn

Hey Guys,

I feel like it's been a while since I've actually written a post! So, today I woke up with a real longing to write. Maybe it's the fact that it's pretty chilly and all I want to do is sit in cozy, comfy wear and stay inside or just that it has been quite literally forever since I've shared a post with you guys! I know I've been filming a lot lately and I do really want to keep that up because I feel like you see more of my personality on film than you do in writing. However, I would love to do more spontaneous posts like these on the side! This has literally just been typed as I think so unlike my videos it is- unplanned, unscripted and unedited. Just me and my thoughts, spelling mistakes and all!

Anyway, although I wouldn't call fall my favourite season there are certain aspects of fall lifestyle that I love! So, I decided to list them for you and hopefully you share these small and simple joys too.

Scheckter's Organic Energy Drink First Impression + Review

Today I am writing a review on the Scheckter's Organic Energy Drink. This is a follow on from the video I did just so that you can have a little more information about the product and my opinions on it. I was not paid to write this post or to try this product, these opinions are my own. Now that that's all out the way, lets get on with the review eh!

My opinion:

I think this was a really tasty drink, I loved the fizz it had to it which made it really refreshing. It had a lovely sweet taste to it, which may not suit everyone. For starters my mum certainly found it too sweet! She much preferred the lite version which tasted much more like fruit and less like sugar, whilst I loved the original but wasn't a big fan of the lite version.

All Drugstore (highstreet) Makeup Kit

Hey guys,

It's been a while! I thought I'd make a cute little collage of really good high-street products to put in your makeup bag. This is mainly for people who are new to makeup and not sure what to put in your makeup bag and to help you choose the best products the high-street has to offer as buying makeup for the first time can be quite daunting

Drugstore (highstreet) Makeup Kit
1)
Rimmel Match Perfection is by far one of the best yet mot affordable foundation I have used! If not the best! I use Ivory because my face is pretty pasty and it is perfect, you can't see foundation lines around my face from where my face is  different colour to my neck and it has a lovely healthy, dewy finish. It's not at all dry on your skin and doesn't flake. The only problem for me is because my skin is quite oily it runs a bit, but for everyday it's fine. This can easily be fixed with a setting spray or a base.

2)
The Bourjois bronzing powder is okay. It's not an amazing bronzer, but it's really affordable, smells amazing, is extremely compact and it does the job. I'm not in love with this bronzer, but I love how easy it is to chuck in your makeup bag and carry about. My favourite bronzer is actually called Sunkissed and it's sold in Primark! It works wonders, but it is way too big to put into a make-up bag.

3)
I am not the first person to rave about the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I heard so many good reviews about it from other bloggers that I bought it myself and I have to say, for the little it costs it is pretty good! I love how radiant it is. For me it hasn't had amazing staying power, but that's because my skin gets quite oily during the day. It a lovely and creamy product which also makes a great eyeshadow base.

4)
Baby Lips are literally my favourite things on this planet. They are genius!! So hydrating yet so pigmented! The best of both worlds! I love that when I wear it, I never feel like I'm really made up; It makes me feel sweet and girly. The colours are beautiful and these two shades are my favourite, Pink Punch is a light pink and Strike a Rose which is a hot coral pink. They also smell amazing and come in the most adorable packaging ever! These are an everyday must have!

5)
Most of Rimmel mascaras are pretty good, but the Scandaleyes are just on point! The way the wand is shaped is perfect, it looks like a weird wave but it makes my mascara go on so well without any clumps! I'm not quite sure what they did differently with this mascara but it is the bullocks!

6)
The Maybelline Hypercosmos are actually supposed to be eyeshadows but the shade PC-1 (what a horrible name?!) makes the most stunning blush and highlighter duo! It is made up of two shades a peachy coral and a baby pink mixed in with iridescent shades of yellow and blue, Sounds gross but it makes the most amazing combination and looks very similar to the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lights Capade. This product however is much smaller, as it is supposed to be an eyeshadow which means it's super easy to carry around and super affordable.

7)
I have been using the Sleek Liquid Eyeliner for years. It's the only liquid liner I ever use and it lasts so long, literally all day without budging! It's also so reasonable and the product last me for around 4-6 months which considering I use it everyday is amazing! Don't be deceived by the small packaging because it really does go a long way.

Youtuber Ingrid Nilson Comes Out as Gay

Ingrid Nilson, otherwise known as 'Missglamourazzi' came out as gay in a candid youtube video.

During the emotional 19 minute video, she explains that she has 'always felt this way' and why she can't be with men, despite having previously had male partners.

If you haven't yet, the you can watch the video here.

What are your views on her coming out?

There have been comments on websites expressing there non understanding as to why she would come out, when people that are hetrosexual don't feel the need to 'come out as straight', some people also accused of her attention seeking.

Personally, I think Ingrid has done great and is an inspiration to many other people, especially people who are in her situation, where they know how they feel inside but can't be true to themselves because of the society they live in. Because they don't feel like they will be accepted for who they are.

Judging from the comments on her video, I think the majority of people, including her subscirbers and other youtubers are happy for the vlogger.

Youtuber star Tanya Burr commented 'I love you' on the video to express her support.

I can't even imagine feeling the need to keep a secret like this for so many years in fear of not being supported by the people around me, so I am so happy to see the support she has recieved online and that she said her friends have been really great.

Congratualtions Ingrid, be free!

My Style Inspirations

Hey guys,
I decided for this weeks post I wanted to compile a list of my style inspirations- people who inspire my fashion, what I wear, my makeup and how I piece things together. Note that a said style inspiration instead of fashion, style is the whole look and how you wear it, not just the the items of clothing you chose to put on. I'd just like to put it out there, that I'm not saying because of these women I have the perfect style and that you should copy me, or that your style icons aren't inspirational. This is simply a list of people that personally inspire my style.

Without further ado, here is my list of style icons:

Brigitte Bardot

It's a common known fact that french women are effortlessly (sorry for over-doing that word already) sexy. But Brigitte takes sexiness to another level.  Her hair always has so much volume and she dresses so feminine in blouses and light dresses No one else in the world can rock a pony tail or half up-half down hair like this lady. She is quite literally my version of a human barbie. Brigette is a lady, I look to her style when I'm going on a date night and I want to look classy, cute and sexy, all at the same time.

Dinner OOTD : Studs & Leather

Arun and I decided to make the most of the rubbish weather and went for dinner at a lovely Lebanese restaurant in Hampton Court called Mezzet. The food was so delicious that I thought I'd share it with you! Also, I thought it would be a nice idea to show you what I was wearing, as I find it really hard to find outfit inspiration for when it's raining and cold but not freezing. So to start here is what I wore:

The Best Ways To Unwind

Light a Candle

My favourite candle at the moment is this Yankee Candle in Snowflake Cookie. It is literally the best thing I have ever smelt!! (apart from freshly cut grass in the summer of course) I have been lighting it almost every night before I go to bed, the sweet scent makes me feel really relaxed and cosy, making me drift off within minutes. The jar is so big that it takes forever to finish, wish is always a plus! Also, being pink and in a cute glass jar makes it the perfect decoration for any surface. I love turning off all the lights and lighting a few candle, it makes for such a romantic and calm atmosphere. Watching the flame flicker as you slowly drift off. And whats great about Yankee candles (and many others) is that it comes with a lid, so before you fall asleep just pop it back on the candle, so your room doesn't smell of smoke, which is definitely not relaxing.

Fairy Lights Work Wonders

I'm not sure what it is about fairy lights, but they instantly make a room more relaxing. I like to turn my fairy light on before I go to bed instead of my side light because I find that they are much dimmer and therefore don't keep me awake. They are also super cute and make your room look like it's come from Pinterest!

Put a Face Mask on

This is not only really good for your skin but it's also very calming. The cold product being massaged onto your skin and then waiting ten minutes for it to dry, certainly helps me unwind. I've been loving the REN glycolactic radiance renewal mask, recently which I was given by a friend to test out. It smells so good and made my skin feel amazing!! It's quite a potent product and after you gently wipe it off, you can seriously feel your skin tingling as the product works its magic. Needless to say, I can't stop touching my now-super-smooth face!

Listen To Natural Sounds or Relaxing Music

My go to place, if I'm having a stressed out day or feeling anxious and finding it hard to sleep, is calm.com. And I promise you, I haven't been paid to see that!! It is just the best thing ever invented! Ever. What's so great is it's diversity. You can play it on your laptop as I am now, or you can download the app for free and play it on your phone. What's even better is you can play it wherever you are, whenever you need a bit of calm in your life and no one knows. Just sit back and pop your headphones in. You can choose which sound best suits you and makes you relaxed. I don't find the relaxing music at all relaxing because I studied music, so I just end up analyzing it. But I love, love, love the sounds of nature. My favourite sounds are the rain, the meadow, the waves and the rainforest. These make me fall asleep in 5. Another amazing feature which I use often is the guided meditation which you can set for as long or short as you like starting from 2 minutes.

Write a To-Do List

A lot of the time when you are feeling stressed is because you feel like you have a lot of pressure on you and a lot of things to do but not enough time. Modern life can be very stressful, we are surrounded by technologies and high expectations. Sometimes your brain just needs a rest to unwind. So before you go to bed or watch your favourite film, get your diary out and write yourself a to-do. Seeing what you have to do on paper, helps make everything visually clearer because you're not trying to sort it all out in your head, among worrying about all the other daily hassles we encounter. By doing a list of what you have to do, you can sort it into days and times you are free to do them and then tick them off when they're done. This means you're brain can unwind and now so can you. No more staying up late at night, worrying about your workload or things you may have forgotten to do.

I love that these lights look like little diamonds! A sure way to add a little glamour to your room.

These headphones are the best things ever!
I still love the Superdrug face masks and at around £1 each, they're a bargain!

What gets you relaxed?
