We're Moving!

Hi guys,

It's been a long while and in this time I've been re-thinking ideas for re-generation. Some of my older readers, may have noticed a change in not only my style of writing but a shift from writing personal posts about my life to posts that are more like articles and opinion pieces created to advise you. As I have grown older this blog has become less like a diary and more like a digital magazine.

So, I've teamed up with the blogger behind Corrange in creating a website which will be focused on fashion, beauty and lifestyle. We have spent months discussing colour schemes, layouts and themes to bring you the most personalised experience which reflects our style both in terms of writing and our lifestyle as 20 something-year-old, career driven women in the big city of London.

What does this mean for you? You will receive better quality content, be part of a larger community and receive not only my opinion's but also Corran's! Great eh?!

Our website will be like a mixture of Cosmo, Women's Health and Elle, providing you everything from our diet tips to the best lipstick to go from your office to your date.

Check out our new blog over at: http://2brunettes.co.uk/

I hope to see you there,

Love O

Throwback Tuesday | EBSLondon

What?

I while back I was invited to the European Bartending School London where I was taught how to free pour and do a few cool tricks with a bottle... Alongside drinking a cocktail or three. It was so much fun! I took my friend from university to join me and we had a whale of a time. As well as getting a little too tipsy, I actually learnt how to pour a drink (the professional way) and serve like a pro.

I was greeted by a mojito and then we dived straight into the lessons. In just a few hours, I was taught the basics of free pouring, flare and bar training, serving multiple cocktails in a replica of a bar, just without the customers! If you are looking into actually going to the bartending school, then each of these classes are separate modules and are obviously much more in-depth!

My favourite was fee pouring, which is quite hard to explain but I will try!! Free pouring is a way of serving shots from a bottle and flicking your wrist in a particular way to stop the drink pouring. You use count measures to measure single and double shots, instead of shot glasses and we did this while serving two drinks at a time!

Oh and it's worth mentioning, that liquor 43 they use? WOW! It tastes amazing, if you pass a shop that serves alcohol, definitely give that stuff a try. It will blow your cotton socks off!

How To Be Happy in 2016.

Here are some things that have made me happy throughout the year. Obviously, what makes me happy may not be the same as what makes you happy. But, you may read some of these and feel like some of the negative situations which I am describing apply to you and your current stage in your life. So, here is my advice on how to make the most life.

Enjoy what you do.

This may be obvious but you should love what you do. Be that your job, your school course or your hobbies. We spend most our days at work or at university/college, so why spend the majority of your time studying or working somewhere you hate? If it makes you unhappy, then just leave it. You can always find another job and another course that you will love. If your main goal in life is to be happy, then don't be a sell out by taking a job with better pay than going for your dream job that won't pay as well. Because ultimately, you will never be as happy. Money doesn't bring happiness, it's what you do everyday that does. So if you're only doing a job because of the money, or a specific course because you think the job will be well paid, then you will never reach that ultimate goal of happiness. You need to look at a job like as if it was volunteering, would you still do it simply because you love what it involves?

Ask yourselves this: Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time? That's what you should be aiming for.
