Orianna's Oracle has joined Facebook!

I have decided to make my blog a facebook page so that you lovely readers can keep updated on what I am up to! It's no secret that I use Facebook far more than Twitter so I wanted to put my procrastination to some good use! This way I can feed my Facebook addiction and work too! Yipee!

Anyways that's enough chit chat from me, so if you haven't already go and check my new facebook page here! And don't forget to like it to keep regularly updated on blog posts, behind the scenes, photos and just to interact with me more.

P.S. How cute is my Facebook banner? You may remember the photo from a haul I recently posted...

The Fall Edit

The Fall Edit

The Fall Edit by oriannarosa featuring a long sleeve crop top

This Fall is all about those statement pieces and standing out with bold unique items. It's all about your cropped jumpers, ripped jeans and chunky heels. Think 70's punk meets city chick.

To keep the look sophisticated and demure, don't over load these items; Mix up the textures with soft and blunt pieces to keep it feminine. The bit of skin flashing from your ripped jeans make's anything interesting but don't over do them to avoid looking a little tarty! These tops (above) are perfect for this season; the colours are beautiful, the cuts are simple and you can layer them for colder days with a  good old blazer or leather jacket.

Accessorize with bold and outspoken items such as this awesome Valentino clutch. And don't you just love those lace up brown booties?! They'd make any outfit ooze sophistication, softening any grunge look. Also, the plum fedora hat with matching lipstick makes the outfit look much more 'together' and classy.

I can't wait to break into my Fall outfits this year because it's going to allow us to: experiment much more with fashion and choose styles that you would never had thought to wear, push the boundaries and its just going to be a lot of fun!

A Walk In The Park OOTD

Yesterday it was surprising sunny and warm for London, so I took advantage of the lovely weather and met up with an old friend and her puppy.

We went for a walk in the park and then back to hers to play Sims 4. Have you guys played it yet? What do you think? I am such a big Sims geek so I was so excited to play but I must say I wasn't too keen and much prefer Sims 2 and 3.

Anyways, back to reality, I wore a lovely minty turquoise top (is that even a colour?) which I bought in Italy, paired with a matching coloured necklace, a black and white skirt from H&M with a daisy pattern, black booties from M&S, a cute monochrome bag from Primark, a light raincoat from Ebay and as always, my Swarovski watch.

P.s My sunglasses came with one of the summer editions of Cosmo. A magazine and sunnies all in one? Yes please!

My Top 5 Money Saving Tips For Students

As a student do you find yourself overwhelmed by debts, student loans, accommodation and all the other boring finance stuff that honestly makes little sense. Well if you're not, I certainly am! This post is for those students who at the end of each month have no money left and are surviving on a can of beans or noodles...

1. If you haven't yet decided, the first problem to figure out is whether or not you are staying home. Living at home obviously, is much much cheaper than renting or staying at halls. However, some people worry that you won't get that 'uni life' experience. From first hand as I chose to stay at home, I can tell you that I don't feel like I have missed out; I have a lovely room that is spacious and has room for all my many clothes, I can go to bed when I want without worrying about other people making noise and needing sleep for an exam or vice versa, I have more money to spend on going out with my friends and being someone who likes clean space, I don't have to worry about other people leaving a mess. Also, I still made some lovely friends even though I'm not at halls- just because you share an apartment it doesn't automatically mean you'll be BFF's! I've made a great bunch of friends through societies, my course and cheerleading who all share common interests as me. The only thing you have to keep on top of is the amount of money you spend on travel. Should you get an oyster or a weekly pass?

2. For you fashionistas out there this is a massive money-saving tip. Sew! I for one love to sew, whether it's doing a little crochet to jazz up an old outfit to fixing things. Sewing has saved me so much money, as I'm small instead of getting things tailored, which costs so much, I'll just sew a couple of darts or what not myself. Equally if something such as a strap has broken but the item is still in good nick, I'll just sew it up instead of buy a new one!

3. Learn how to cook. Cooking things from scratch works out soooo much cheaper and not to mention, much healthier than buying take away's or microwave meals! It's also a life skill that will serve you for the rest of your life! Try starting off by making something simple such as pesto pasta and gradually getting onto more challenging recipes such as shepards pie which is great because you can put it in the fridge and have it for a couple of days.

4. It's no secret that the majority of the money students spend is towards partying. If you are a bit of a part animal then I'd advise you got out on student nights as most clubs have great deals for us students. Google which clubs are in your area and which offers are going on, why pay £20 entrance fee if somewhere else has free or discounted entry offer? Also, don't eat loads before you go out if you are going out to get wasted. Eat enough simple carbs such as a toastie to line your stomach so you don't get ill but don't fill yourself up or you will be sober all night. Yup, it's happened to me. Seafood also isn't the best of ideas before a night out if you want to refrain from vomiting... Always pre-drink. Gather up with a group and have a few drinks before you go out as drinks in clubs (especially in London) cost a lot of money! A glass of cheap wine for example, at a club will set you back around £7, a bottle however from your local Tescos, will cost you around the same price.

5. If you really get an urge to go shopping. keep updated on when the sales are on. Zara and Topshop in particular, tend to have really good sales where you can get items that were originally £40 for around a tenner. If you go with a friend you can look out for 2 for 1 items and pay half-half for an item each. Ebay is your best friend. Seriously. You can find anything from make-up brushes and storage to clothes and accessories at such a small price! Finally, do some research and find out where your nearest outlet store is if you like higher end items. You can get so many items from outlet stores in perfect condition but so much cheaper.

Sorry this was more of a chunky and serious topic than a post full of images if you were just looking for a light read!

20,000 Blog Views!

Thank You sooooo much to all you guys reading my blog! And an extra big hug to the ones who regularly come back to read more!!

My summer goal this year was to reach 20,000 blog views and with 2 weeks left of my summer holiday, I finally reached that goal! Admittedly, being abroad for a month in total without internet access this summer, made it slightly harder to reach my target but I still managed to get it. So I am super chuffed.

For some people it's probably a really rubbish goal to be proud of because they get way more than that each day, nonetheless, it still means that what I write- whether it is a deep and helpful post or even something less meaningful or fashion related- someone out there is reading it. Even if a post has interested, helped or been enjoyed by one person, then I am happy.

I adore my blog a little more each day, as I have said before my blog is my sanctuary where I like to relax while writing posts, so it makes me happy that you can all relax too while reading them.

I am so so grateful that you all read my posts and will continue to carry on posting my thoughts for you guys for as long as you keep wanting to read them. :)

So much love for all my fellow viewers around the world!

Lots and Lots of Love,

FASHION DIY: How To Fix Scuffed Heels

I love wearing heels, pretty much on a daily basis (bad, I know!) so it really sucks when one of my favourite pairs get all scuffed! I really loved these heels shown below as they have a faux wooden platform, they are super comfy and go with everything! Hence I really didn't want to chuck these bad boys away. Especially when they are still perfect other than the scuffs! So, I found this quick solution that really works! What is it? Felt tips guys!

♥ So, to start pick a colour pen that is as close to the colour of your shoes. This is what's so great about this trick, if like me you have a load of pens then you'll have every shoe colour covered!

♥ Finally just follow my simple diagram and you will have your shoes back to a wearable condition in no time! Of course your shoes will never look new again if you have scuffed them into tatters like I did, but as you can see from the images, it is a vast improvement.

I've worn them since, and unless someone is actually staring at them and looking out for the coloured in scuffs then you really can't tell. Especially if it's the evening!

I'm not sure how well this technique would work on material shoes such as faux suede but it works wonders on patent, plastic, canvas, literally everything other than fur!

I hope you've enjoyed this little DIY tip! If you end up trying it out, leave me a comment down below or tweet me @oriannarosa!

FASHION: New Look, Zara, Kate Spade, Dune, Uggs & Ralph Lauren HAUL

So I went a little shopping mad and splurged out on a load of clothes.. Unfortunately I couldn't take photos of them ALL but here are 90% of the things I got!! None of the items were particularly pricey so I will leave links to where I bought each item for you guys. I looked really hard for the exact items but quite a few items are out of stock so I have left a link in these cases to items which look similar. Just a quick disclaimer, I am not rich and of course I don't go shopping for new things all the time, these are some of the clothes I have bought throughout the whole of the summer.  I am also super lucky to have a nice boyfriend who treated me to a fair few of the items in this haul... Thank You Arun! Rant over. Enjoy!

New Look Top similar here

La Senza Bandeau on sale for £1 while stock lasts as it's shops are shutting down.
I bought this lovely dress on ebay here. I love it so much, it's so pretty, comfortable and colourful and goes well with so many different looks. The bag is from Kate Spade which I talk about in detail below and shoes from Just Fab

Yellow and White Polka Dotted Romper from Calzedonia. Similar here
Excuse the quality of the next three photos I took with my iPhone... Rookie mistake.

I team my new look top with my Mulberry Bag 'Lily' in Deer brown and Primark canvas shoes.

Ralph Lauren Top similar here and Ugg Heeled Boots, similar here.

I paired the new items with old ripped Levi jeans and a Primark bag.

Zara dress with a lace back, similar here and two tone Dune shoes like these.

My lovely Dune shoes

I've saved the best for last! Here is my Kade Spade, faded mint, Malena bag from the Lilac Road Collection. I found this treasure on sale for £100, they also had them in navy and in two toned white and beige too. I settled with Mint because as you know, I love to wear everything white, monochrome and blue so it goes with all my outfits. The white one was stunning too but as my boyfriend reminded me, it will get dirty really fast. It's a great size, it can fit anything from my uni books to my laptop! Although I don't want to ruin it so I won't be putting them in my bag... I adore how simple the bag is, the Kate Spade label is in rose gold and I really live the trimming at the bottom. To keep the bag from getting ruined there are studs in the same rose gold at the bottom of the bag.
The inside pocket is so cute! On the opposite side, inside the bag there are two phone pockets too.

I'm so girly, as soon as I saw the cute monochrome lining of BOWS I fell in love!! I love going into my bag and seeing the oh so cute lining!
